STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Arts Math) Camp
DIVAS for Social Justice successfully launched the first affordable STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Arts Math) Camp in Bedford Stuyvesant in the summer of 2013. The organization provides a 3-6 week
intensive camp, which included learning digital media, robotics and littlebits (a new technology to build objects with electronic modules) and coding. At the end of camp, participants organize a multi-disciplinary exhibition that features their work in the camp that is presented at the STEAM Awards ceremony and the community is invited to attend.
